Section 2 is the longest section in the Improve I-70 study, at almost 65 miles. It stretches between Odessa and Boonville through prime Missouri farmland. It includes the cities of Odessa, Concordia, and Sweet Springs, as well as a number of interchanges and highway crossovers. Critical challenges in this section include addressing the impacts of a wider right-of-way and new interchange designs on local businesses and communities. The Improve I-70 Study team for Section 2 will be working with businesses, community leaders and property owners to find the best possible solutions to address the needs of this region along an improved I-70.
