The animation shows each phase of construction, starting with replacement of overpasses, followed by construction of the first new lane just outside the existing lane. When construction of the first lane is completed, it is opened up to traffic, and traffic flows on the new lane and the remaining old lane. Construction begins on the second new lane just outside the old lane. When construction on the second new lane is complete, it is opened up to traffic as well, and a large median exists where the old corridor was before construction.
